Sergiy Stakhovsky began playing tennis at the age of six in Kiev, Ukraine at the Olympic Stadium. Sergiy enjoys all ball sports, especially football, basketball and table tennis. Mischa began playing tennis at age two with father Alexander, a former Davis Cup player for the former Soviet Union. Family moved from Moscow to Germany in 1991, and Mischa is now managed by Boris Becker & Company. Mischa likes fishing and NBA (supports Miami Heat). Mischa admired his father who ‘plays like a cat on the court’ according to Alexander Volkov and Yevgeny Kafelnikov, and he was lucky to have his father as a coach. Mischa’s  favourite surface is indoors and favourite shots are serve and volley.
